    • "Richard Hide of Southwark Parish and hiswife Mary sold William Cocke for 6,500 lbs of tobacco, 150 acres which was partof 450 acres descended to me Richard Hide, by inheritance, being heir to myfather Richard Hide, deceased, and purchased by his father from Edward Travisof James City Co. VA, the 7th of Feb. 1650/1 a part of 900 acres patented byTravis and John Johnson of James City Co. the 25th of Feb 1632. "RichardHide's signature, his wife Mary (M) her mark."
