  • Notes
    • Charles bought two parcels of land in Dec. of 1875 from Willis and Adelaide Lathrop. They were in section 7 of township 91 and section 23 of township 91 (Jefferson township). Interesting that he named one of his sons Charles Lathrop Hyde.

Willis A. Lathrop was a lawyer and farmer, aged 54 in an 1880 census and born in 1826. Born in Connecticu.

Adelaide A. Lathrop was age 45 in an 1880 census and was born in 1835.

According to the 1880 census Willis and Adelaide had in their household: E...t A. Lathrop, daughter born in 1858 in Connecticu, and Charles W. Lewis,no known relationship, possibly farm laborer, age 21 and born in Iowa, and Milton Fargo, age 36 and born in Connecticu, a farm laborer and divorced, race white. Interesting Charles mother was a Fargo born in Connecticu.
